BSBIOS was recognized by the Companies with Best Management Program 2022 – 2nd Edition and received on Thursday (30/03) the seal of recognition for the practices of management techniques aligned with good market practices. The recognition was conferred by Deloitte Consulting, which evaluates private companies with national capital in the dimensions Strategy and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance), Capacity and Innovation, Culture and Commitment, Governance and Finance.
"I am very happy for this important recognition which highlights the good practices of the management model structured by criteria built through risk, ethics, compliance, internal controls, internal and external audit committees," said BSBIOS President Erasmo Carlos Battistella, emphasizing the Company's values, such as integrity and commitment, which are fundamental bases rooted in the daily life and actions of BSBIOS.
The consultancy highlighted, in its evaluation process, the role of the company as a protagonist in the biofuels segment, with emphasis on sustainability processes and investment in research and innovation. The company's innovation program, which encourages the participation of employees, as well as the partnership with technology park and university, with the objective of establishing business alliances, were highlighted.
Regarding the ESG pillar, BSBIOS practices Circular Economy as a purpose in its business to produce biodiesel, a form of renewable energy. In addition, the company develops actions for the recycling, reuse and marketing of waste such as used cooking oil (UCO) and the by-product of soybean crushing, meal, which is intended for the production of animal feed.
The evaluators recognized the area of sustainability structured and aligned with the defined guidelines, such as the structured plan for the company to be carbon neutral by 2030. The sustainable and evolved supply chain, which has been improved, was also highlighted. BSBIOS started in the year 2022 a Culture program that addresses the strategy, in addition to conducting a monitoring of the organizational climate through research.
